How Do You Clear Your Mind so that You Can Communicate Calmly?

by | Jan 6, 2015

Welcome to 2015. This week your work world revs up and it’s back to your business goals, objectives, meetings, commitments and presentations.Cuddling with multiple devices

NOT on that list is your emails, social media and technology tasks. And that’s because you were committed to this every day of your winter holiday. You never took a break from your computer.

The issue: technology can make you calmer – your theory being that a clean inbox creates a zen life. BUT CONSTANT TECHNOLOGY TETHERING NEGATES PEACE OF MIND.

Take a glimpse at an email I just received from Professional Coach – Michele Wahlder, MS, LPC, CLC , PCC (I sent her a note earlier today):

Hello!

I am implementing a technology holiday as part of my 2015 New Year’s Intention of “Peace of Mind,” so periodically I will be unavailable by phone or email. This is one of those times, so I will get back to you within 72 hours of your email.

“We control technology, we can not allow technology to control us.”

Happy and joyous 2015 to you and yours!

Warmly, Michele
Wow – A technology holiday? Who new?

If you want to present and communicate with more zen and calm – try a technology break even if it’s less than 72 hours. I commend Michele – that’s not easy to do.
