1.   No knowledge of your audience
The stealth bomb of all presentations – not meeting the needs of your shareholders, your board of directors, your clients/prospects. If you don’t know who they are and what makes them tick, you will NOT get agreement/the sale/the trust.

2.   Terrible opener
You must be engaging in order to get engagement. And that HAS to happen quickly. From the minute you open your mouth!
 
3.   Nonexistent close
What do you want your audience to do, think, or feel as a result of listening to you? Your ending needs to include a short summary, a call for action, and a clever exit. Never say, “That’s it. I’m done.”
