Have you ever heard of Perez Hilton? Did you see Julie & Julia? Do you love reading and analyzing the thoughts and ramblings of someone else? You’re addicted. To blogs and blogging, that is.

Ten years ago, blogs were just a blip in the Internet universe. However, recently they’ve exploded as ways for businesses, celebrities, and friends to keep in touch with their consumers, fans, and followers.

The “blogosphere” has become a place for people of all ages and backgrounds to create, in personalized form, an online journal. Blogs can be public or private, and can be viewed by fifty people or fifty million people. It’s become an easy way for people to express themselves to the anonymous World Wide Web.

I use my blog as a way to de-stress about my day, document exciting things that happen, or vent about upsetting events. All of the entries are private, but having a quick and easy way to jot down thoughts, feelings, and ideas helps give me perspective on what’s going on in my life.

This public blog is a great place for me to write about my passion – how to communicate and market a business. As Karen’s marketing assistant, it provides me with a tool to comment on how to sell and thrive from my own perspective.

So, start a blog today. Whether it’s for your eyes only, or you want to become the next famous blogger, get your words out there!

Some websites to get you started: blogit.com, wordpress.com, blogger.com. And, of course, continue to visit this blog too!
