Dan Rather and I chatted about America’s freedom of speech. No, he wasn’t referring to his latest book, Rather Outspoken. Rather, I spoke to him about being a first generation American and a second generation Holocaust survivor. I shared that I grew up with two European parents who were virtual cheerleaders for a system that provides freedom of choice, religion, and speech.
